ARTstor is a repository that allows you to search for and view digital images of art, both online and offline. There are nearly one million digital facsimiles of art archived in ARTstor for teaching and research.
ARTStor has open availability on campus; WCC students, faculty, and staff may access these collections from campus and from home.
Follow these instructions for accessing and searching in ARTstor:
1.) Go to the library's web site and click on Databases-Articles Collections. Find ARTstor listed under Arts, Humanities and click on the link provided to go to www.artstor.org. If you are off-campus, you will have to log in using your student, faculty, or staff ID before continuing. See Working From Home for details.
2.) Once you are on ARTstor's main page, click on the Launch Artstor Digital Library link on the top of the page. This brings you directly to the ARTstor search page. Your screen may turn blank for a few moments while the ARTstor Digital Library loads in the browser window.
3.) Begin searching and browsing for images. Search by Keyword or Browse by Geography, Collection, You can also register for an ARTstor account by clicking on the "Register" button in the upper right corner of the Welcome Page.
