This Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) guide has been developed to assist WCC faculty, staff, and students in gaining understanding and appreciation of DEI issues in our society.

We intend the DEI Reading List to spark conversations and dialogue and help us address our challenges and opportunities to improve our community.

The reading list is not intended to be a comprehensive bibliography of diversity, equity, and inclusion topics.

This reading list borrows heavily from the categories of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Reading List developed by UMKC

The initial motivation for this reading list came from a survey of students on discrimination at the college [EDIT]

This list shall be a “living document,” and suggestions of books, films or other resources to purchase consider are welcome and encouraged.
