Prof. Gaffney: FALL 2020; Eng. 101: Home

Welcome!

Welcome! This research guide was created for students in Prof. Gaffney's English 101 class.

This guide is a customized resource for this assignment, and I encourage you to refer to it as you conduct your research.

You are required to articulate a research question on a topic of your choice. You are to present the reader with relevant reasons for the position you have taken, and provide credible facts and sufficient evidence to support that you have a valid perspective on your topic.

You will need to locate authoritative sources and integrate them into the text of your paper.

Citing your sources correctly is an important component of any research assignment. Your essay should include parenthetical (in-text) citations and a Works Cited page using MLA 8 style formatting.

If you have any questions about research and citations, please feel free to contact me at rebecca.steere@sunywcc.edu.

For real-time assistance, use the live IM box from the library homepage.
