The Library and the Academic Support Center in collaboration with the Common Read, Under the Same Sky, support Hungry Minds, Feeding Others.

Donate to the Westchester Community College Food Pantry this holiday season!

November 4, 2019 – December 13, 2019

All donations will benefit the Westchester Community College Food Pantry. You can help a fellow Westchester Community College student in need in one of two ways:

1.) Donation

Bring your nonperishable food item to the Academic Support Center Reception Desk.

2.) Donate for Fine Waiver: “Food for Fines”

Bring your nonperishable food item to the Library Circulation Desk. Contributions to the library will result in a waiver of outstanding fines (1 nonperishable food item = $1 in fines waived). This program applies to existing fines only. Fees for lost books and fines associated with course reserve items are not eligible. Fines will not be waived for donations made to other campus locations.

Sought after items include: canned or dry beans; peanut butter; rolled oats; canned fruit in juice; canned vegetables; soups; canned tuna or chicken; rice, pasta, or quinoa; unsalted nuts or seeds; shelf stable milk; whole grain pasta; popcorn kernels; cereals; olive or canola oil; canned tomatoes; dried fruits; broth. No Expired Food Please.

Thank you for your support. Wishing you a healthy and happy holiday season!
