Course Reserves

About Library Course Reserves

Library Course Reserves is one of the many campus services that can help you connect your students to course materials. The Library's Course Reserve service allows instructors to set aside books, media, articles, and other readings for students enrolled in their classes. Material is placed in the Reserve Collection at the beginning of each semester and is taken off Reserve at the end of each semester.

What About Textbooks?

The Library maintains a large collection of course textbooks, however, it is the general policy of the Library not to purchase copies of textbooks.  We strongly encourage faculty to donate courses textbook to the Library for student use.

Loan Period for Reserve Materials

In order to assure availability, Course Reserve collections have short loan periods. Print Reserves may be borrowed for up to two hours for in-library use only.

Course Reserves Contact

For information about placing items on print reserve, electronic reserve or media reserve, contact Towanda Mathurin, Periodicals/Circulation Librarian at  914-606-8086.
